Choose one:

  • A difficult conversation with someone on your team
  • A pitch or presentation to executives
  • Leading through change
  • A conversation where you expect pushback

Prepare using the EPCS framework. Have the conversation. Reflect on what you notice.

This one practice creates more change than all the theory combined.


THREE KEY THINGS TO REMEMBER

1. Recording yourself is non-negotiable. People believe what they hear, not what you're told. When you hear yourself improve, belief becomes evidence, not hope.

2. You're not trying to change who you are. You're learning to communicate who you already are more clearly. Presence isn't performance—it's authenticity.

3. Change happens in two to three weeks, not two to three months. By week 1, your team notices you're different. By week 2, you're getting taken more seriously. By week 3, the pattern is new.
